Coast Home Watch of St. Augustine is much more than a home watch company; we're your partner in home care and we offer a range of caretaker and home management services that include reliable home monitoring, pre-arrival home preparations, post-departure home closings, storm prep, post-storm inspection, key holder / vendor and contractor supervision, concierge, and short-term renter needs. Or, if you're managing your elderly parent's home needs long distance we can be a valuable resource. Home Watch

Vacant homes need monitoring to ensure nothing has gone awry. Our homewatch and home management services are what you're looking for to give you peace of mind and take care of everything while you're away. Our unoccupied residence and property inspection services are vital for second home owners and rental property owners that are away from their properties for extended periods of time. Coast Home Watch provides protection and assurance for your property through regular onsite inspections.

Our Basic Services cover a variety of points that I'll check to make sure everything is safe and in running order. We cover the common basics, but if you have additional needs we can tailor a custom package for you. Just call or email to get a quote.

Basic Services

  • Verify that all doors and windows are securely locked. Check for signs of break-ins

  • Check for signs of water leaks or damage and check for visual signs of mold and mildew

  • Visual check for insect infestation

  • Run faucets, sink disposals, and flush toilets - clean when necessary

  • Check toilets and sinks for leaks

  • Confirm house water main is in the OFF position

  • Check A/C unit, thermostat, temperature and humidity readings - change filter if necessary

  • Check electric panel for tripped breakers

  • Check hot water heater

  • Visual inspection of home exterior including lanai, garage, and pool

  • Check mailbox; remove flyers, newspapers from front door area

  • Send report to client after each Home Watch inspection; immediate notification of any abnormalities

  • Live FaceTime video chat during visits as requested (service permitting)

  • Additional basic checks and tasks tailored to your individual needs; may be included in package pricing, call or email for a custom quote

Pre- and Post-Storm Checks

When storm conditions threaten our area we can help. Rather than sending a friend or neighbor over, allow CHW to thoroughly check your home and property to determine what actions might be needed before and after the storm.

Concierge

Keyholder Services

 

As needed, we can meet service vendors/contractors, accept large deliveries, alarm response, help locked out guests, check in on family members, and much more. Leaving a key with a neighbor isn't ideal as they may not be available when needed, or if you just aren't comfortable giving your neighbors that responsibility, and providing them open access to your home and possessions. Any situations requiring the use of your key will be handled in a secure and professional manner. Having CHW hold your key will allow you to manage these situations from afar.

Contractor/Vendor Coordination & Supervision

 

We'll meet and monitor service providers or repairmen at your home, or your senior parent's home. After 30 years of facility management I can work with any contractor or service provider and ensure the job is getting done correctly.

Long distance home build or remodel?  We offer an affordable solution to give you piece of mind, being your eyes on the ground, monitoring while you can’t.

  • Provide access to property for contractors or service providers (repairmen, delivery, cleaning services, or other onsite service providers)

  • Monitor to confirm that contractors or service provider's work is properly completed; digital photo reporting
